Grandpa's Visit

Rachel really enjoyed have the Grandpa around especially since it was over the time of her birthday. It was very hot, and Grandpa spent a lot of time in the pool and in the air coned house, but he had good quality time with his granddaughters, both Rachel and Evangeline. He really loves his "girls", and even helped clean the chairs for the party.
Rachel really loves her Grandpa, and misses him stacks, every time she sees a white bearded man on the TV, she doesn't say, look Father Christmas, she says Look it's Grandpa!

Rachel's 4th Birthday

I know, it has been over 6 months since this Mommy has updated her daughters blog, but as I say better late then never. Well on the 6th March 2011 was Rachel's 4th Birthday, Dad decided to pull out all the stoppers for this one, we had friends and family and most important a Jumping Castle. Rachel really had a ball of a time. Her theme was Hello Kitty, and Mom as able to make a Hello Kitty Cake. We even had Hello Kitty biscuits!
Rachel was spoilt with lots of presents and by the time the afternoon came everyone was exhausted, but the most important thing was that Rachel enjoyed her 4th birthday. Thanks again for all that helped out and attended.

Quality time with the Daddy!

Mommy started her night shift last week, and Daddy got to spend lots of quality time with Rachel. He helped her get dress and ready for bed. Rachel loves to cimb on Daddys shoulders, she had just come out of the bath this time, so she looks abit like a drowned rat. Then it was time to pull out the lap top, (thanks to Granny for the lap top) so that they can play games. Rachel loves the computer, but she knows that she can only play with it if someone is with her. Quality time is great, the only problem that Mommy has is that Daddy still doesn't know how to plat hair, God willing that will come soon, or maybe Rachel will end up teaching Daddy how to do it. She really does miss the Mommy when she has to go to work night shift, but Mommy is very happy to know that she is in good hands with a great Daddy like this.

Time to Iron

Well, Rachel is a really little home maker. She loves to tidy up, sweep and even Iron. Granny got her the ironing board and iron before she was even born, so for all we know she might have already wanted to iron before she came out. She loves to iron all her clothes before packing them away in her chest of draws, she folds them herself and packs them all way so neatly. Mommy is very surprised and wonders where she gets that from, because she knows it's not from her. As long has she is enjoying herself and one less thing for Mommy to do, who should complain.

Braai Time!

Mommy and Daddy find any excuse to braai, it was a great day, friday, sun was shining, that is the best excuse. Rachel was very happy to help Evangeline finish her Baker-Baker cup cake that afternnon. They really enjoyed sitting on the trampoline stuffing their faces. Needless to say that when the meat was done, Mommy had a bit of trouble trying to get Rachel to eat. That is par for the course. Even Peanut go to get some cup cake. Mommy had fun too, just to relax from the studying for a while, and spend some good quality time with the family. The Yon's are so blessed to live where they do, to enjoy the open air, and Braai vleis!

Fun at Mitchell Park with the Dankers

Last Saturday we all went to Mitchell park to have a picnic lunch with the Dankers, Jessica, Clayton and (not so little) Jordan, who will be 3 this year in June. Fun was had by all and a real day was made of it, Mommy got a bit sunburnt even though it was over cast. After the park we went to the Dankers flat, there was a bit of a wait as we went to the park in two cars and stayed to almost 10 at night, Rachel had a blast, watching movies and even had a bath over there. She enjoyed playing with someone elses toys, loved the Donkey that she could jump with.

Visit to Duck and Deck

At the end of last year, the Yon family went to the Duck and Deck animal farm. Great fun was had by the whole family, they made a real day of it. First Rachel got to feed the goats and the sheep, the Rachel got a ride on the pony, with Mommy walking along side. Mommy then got to rest as Rachel wanted her to with when she

went on the pony cart ride. Mom was rather scared to see how fast those pony's could go. Mommy even wanted to get off at one stage when they were going up the hill and she thought they were struggling a bit under her weight. Rachel really enjoyed herself and should go again soon.

Sleep over with the cousins

Rachel is so excited that the cousins are sleeping over tonight, Mommy managed to make french toast for everyone for supper, and everyone got to talk to Granny and Grandpa via Skype. Romano and Jezelle were convinced that Grandpa was Father Christmas, especially when he said Ho Ho Ho.
They all had a bath and were in bed before 8, Mommy was rather impressed, that Rachel was the first to fall asleep even though she shouldn't have been since Rachel was so exhausted and hadn't had her afternoon nap.

Ozzy and Peanut having fun in the sun

Ozzy, Auntie Eve's little cat was given her first experience of grass today, and he as so overwhelmed. Peanut was so excited, and mauled Ozzy so much but he didn't even flinch. They are so good together, but if Peanut becomes to ruff, Ozzy knows how to put him back in his place.

Pool fun with the Cousins

The cousins came over this afternoon, Rachel was in her element, playing show and tell so nicely, didn't even have her afternoon nap. Romano and Jezelle had great fun the water, swimming with Rachel. Mom and Dad also were in the pool to keep a good eye on the bunch as the older cousins aren't that good swimmers, but they really enjoyed themselves. Daddy was so proud that he managed to get a photo of himself with all his niece and nephews, on his side of the family.

It was so nice to see Daniel and Emma again, even though it was because of tragic circumstance, they had lost their Grandmother just after Christmas.
The family are all doing very well, and the children were so happy to play with Rachel as they hadn't been with any children their age, since the death with all the comings and going that they had done. Emma and Daniel look so much like their mother.

Visit to the Saxon Seven

We went to visit the rest of the family on boxing day, down in La Lucia. Rachel had a ball of a time playing with her 2nd Cousins (I think that's what they are). First she was playing with Kaitlyn building blocks, then it was notice that she was playing hide and seek with Tessa, pressing their heads against the window, to try and find Kaitlyn. We mustn't for get the budding Architect in Uncle Garth, who also joined the fun. It was great to catch up on news that was happening in the extended family, who now refer to themselves as the "Saxon Seven", rather appropriately

Fun in the Sun

One of Daddy's and Rachel's presents for Christmas was a "slip and Slide" or they call it a "splash and shoak"
Daddy put it up the very next day and fun was had, lucky the weather held up and Rachel as able to really enjoy the fun in the water. Not to sure where we are going to use this slide once the drive way come up, but we'll jump off that bridge when we get there, for now Rachel has really been making the most of her time with her parents as have the parents with Rachel.
Rachel is such a blessing to this family!

Christmas fun for everyone!

Christmas time was a very busy time for this family, having had Christmas eve dinner with the Morris clan, and then after Christmas day service having Christmas lunch with the Yon-Ellis family, fun was had by all. The cousins, Evangeline and Rachel, ate their dinner by themselves, like really big girls. They really enjoyed Aunty Eve's traditional Christmas fillet. By the end of the evening Rachel was so exhausted that even Aunty Bee couldn't get her to smile.
Presents on Christmas morning were enjoyed by all, but with Rachel the most important thing was opening the presents up, needles to say, Mom and Dad never got to open any presents this year as their little Christmas elf, was there. The bubble bunny was a really hit, and the girls had endless fun catching the bubbles and dancing around them.
The Christmas lunch was just as exciting, and filling, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Rachel was spoiled again with a lovely tea-set, that she used to make us all tea after lunch. Daddy got spoiled as well, with clothes. By the end of the evening Rachel gave us a great show with her Christmas necklace that has dayglow colours in the dark.
Jesus really blessed us this Christmas with all the fun and laughter, even though she couldn't have the Olds with us. God willing one Christmas soon!

Things have changed

I know, I know it has been a long time since there has been an update, almost 2 years to be exact. Well, I thought you should know we are all alive and well. Rachel has grown up so much. As you see in these pictures over the last 4 Christmas's. Rachel has turned into a real young lady. Mom is finding it hard to keep up with the lady like things that she wants done. But she is such a blessing. Lets hope that this is not going to be the last blog for a while. We hope that time becomes available to keep everyone up dated.

It is so hard to believe that time has gone so quickly. We all had such a wonderful Christmas and we pray that 2011, is full of fun and laughter. Mommy is studying at the moment and with the support of both Daddy and Rachel, Mom should be able to complete this coming year with flying colours.

Visiting Time again

This time we got a chance to go and see Rachel's Cousins in Greenwood Park, Jizelle is now 4 and Romano is 7 years old, they have great fun playing with Rachel and watch out for her alot. Rachel loves playing with Jizelles shoes and always hides them from her. Rachel has been so blessed getting a lot of hand-me-downs from Jizelle, so one day she will get those shoes she loves to hide from her at the moment.

We also got to see our good friends the Scrooby's, we had a braai and also got to swim, we got delayed Christmas presents that Rachel enjoyed opening for all of us, even their little dog, Angel got in on the fun.

Our trip to Mitchell Park

Rachel had great fun at Mitchel Park, this was our second visit to the Park and we notice a difference in Rachel's intrests, she was more curious about the birds then the monkeys or other animals, which I found very intresting. She also loved the big fish. Great fun was had by all that Day.

Time for School again

Before we knew it, it was time for school again, Rachel is now in the 2-3 year old group, even though she isn't even 2 yet. She is doing so well, loves carrying her bag. She is also been potty trained and just last week they started putting Panties on her. She is getting so big, I can hardly believe that she is my little girl!

A visit with the Kathrada's

We all went to visit some old muslim friends of ours, Rachel had great fun as usual, at least she didn't tear their place apart. She is such a friendly little girl. To be honest she looks more like there Daughter then mine. They loved her to bits because they only have boys, 4 to be exact. So it was so nice to have a little girl around.

Round about at the Mall

We spent some time the other day with friend at the new Westwood Mall in Westville, Rachel had a ball of a time playing with Jordan and in the spur. She got a ballon, she really loves ballons. Jordan is now 8 months such a big boy. It was great fun catching up .

Swimming with Daddy

The summer has really hit us hot and heavy here, we are spending a lot more time in the water swimming. Rachel is getting very us to the life jacket and she swims so well on her own now and not clinging to Mom and Dad so much. Daddy loves swimming with Rachel and spending time in the water gives him great joy exespt when Rachel wants to go on her own, he still stresses.

Owen and attachments come and visit

We had the Dutch connection come and visit over the Christmas season. It was amazing to see how Owen had growen, since we last saw him when he was only a couple of months old. It was also great to have his mom and dad here too.

Well it came to that time of year, when we as a family started putting up Christmas decorations. Rachel really enjoyed decoration the tree, as well as helping Dad with the Christmas trees lights. Eveangeline also joined in on the fun, with her attlars. Rachel calls it "Cippy Tree" and "Cippy lights", But fun was had by all.

Swimming Time again!

We're in the pool again, it has been very hot lately and we are all very grateful to have the swimming Pool, Rachel loves her new life jacke that she wears and Mommy insists that she doesn't step into the swimming area without it. She still loves playing with her boat.

Our Holiday

Near the middle of November we has a family went on our holiday, we drove from Durban to Estcourt, Rachel was suppose to be sleeping in the car but didn't till we got there, spent the night there. Drove from Estcourt to Howick stayed there for the night, Rachel slept on the way there at least. Drove from Howick to Underberg stayed there for 2 nights, Drove from Underberg to Kokstad, stayed there one night, then drove from Kokstad back home. That is very basically what the trip envoved, but it was so much more.
We visited 3 different families in Estcourt and stayed at the 4th families house. Rachel was great went to everyone and thought that this holiday stuff was wonderful all these new places and new friends for her to play with. In Howick we visited 2 families and stayed with the 2nd family, The Wilkensons were great and Rachel helped out in their Garden, The Webbs little son Keagan, a couple of months older then Rachel loved her company for the afternoon. The next morning we went to visit the Pienaar/Venter family in Maritzburg before heading out to Underberg, the old man was so happy to see us and Rachel went to him like he was her Grandfather, but that is just what Jan Pienaar is like, Can't believe that Suzie has 5 children now. In Underberg we stayed with our good friends the Roths and it was there youngest sons birthday the day after we arrived, so we got to celebrate with all of them, it was great to see them again and Rachel loved the open spaces were she could just run free. They played with bubbles and Rachel got to see all the farm animals. She even got to sit on a tractor.
From Underberg we went to Kokstad to see our friends the Thomas's they had just had a baby girl, named Morgan a week before and we were very blessed to be on of the first to see the little beauty. Their son Iain celebrates his birthday the same day as Mommy which is the 6 November so we had a present for him too. Rachel enjoyed playing with Iain and Uncle Clive got the sprinkler system on and Rachel had a ball of a time in the spray.
We left early the next morning to get back to Durban in time for Bradley to be back at work by the afternoon, but all in all was a wonderful Holiday.

Mommy's Birthday

Mommy was working night shift on her birthday night, so while she was sleeping Rachel and Daddy took a drive to the shop and bought a cream cake and candles. The candles were lit and Mommy was called from her sleep. It was a lovely surprise and Rachel really enjoyed blowing out Mommys candles, as well as eating some of the cake.

The fairy Princess

Dress up time for Rachel, thanks to Aunty Eve and Evangeline, who can't wear the outfit as yet. There is also a Wedding dress as well. Rachel loved it the only problem was that the wings were a bit big. She also thought that she was a biker fairy princess and want riding around on her bike. Mommy didn't think that that was such a good idea so that didn't last that long. We would have hated to destroy the dress before her cousin would get a chance to were it. Using her wand she really put a spell on all of us that was watching her prance or bounce around in the outfit.

Daddy made me a Rocking Horse

Daddy really enjoyed making Rachel this Rocking horse, he was so proud of himself which was rightly so. He used an old crate that was left in the vagant plot next door and made it completely from scractch. Daddy still needs to sand it down and paint it, but Rachel loves it never the less. It doesn't rock at well as the genuine thing but Daddy thinks that its safer that way.

Rachel loves going to Top Tots, she enjoys the singing and the playing of the musical instraments the most. She loves the painting and that day they were making a tree, a big green Tree, with apples, lemons and cherrys on it (stickers were used) and then placed in a painted toilet roll that was also painted, Brown. Great fun was had by all.

Quality time with my Cousin

Rachel loves spending time with Evangeline. If the dummy comes out of the mouth, she will pick it up and put it straight back in the mouth, even if her cousin doesn't want it in. Rachel is even getting use to Mommy holding Evangeline without performing like her home is in a tree. So when her other cousin comes in December things should be alright exsept for the sharing thing.

Potty Training has begun

Rachel has been started on her potty training at School, were they put her on a potty everytime when she wakes up from her sleep. They said that they don't force the kids and when they are happy to sit and stay, they are normally ready for potty training. So Mommy decided to do the same at home. Everytime before being put in the bath, Rachel is put on the potty. She weed a few times but then she went through a phase when she didn't want to go on the potty at all. Mommy didn't stress and now she is back to asking for the potty. Mommy does find it very exhausting as you have to stand and watch because otherwise, its running down the passage and peeing in the lounge. But all a learning experiance.

Mom has taken so long to update this blog, that these pictures date back to at least one month back. We went to visit the cousins, New little Tessa and Kaitlyn, were very happy to see us. It was a great visit and it was nice to catch up with the comings and goings of the other family.

In Daddy Shoes!

Rachel loves getting into everything, from the dirty washing to clean washing and even shoes, especially shoes. She puts them on and walks all over the house, Mommy doesn't have a problem with that, if she wore both shoes at the same time but no, its normally one shoe and then she leave it where she has had enough, so finding a pair of shoes in this house is a bit of a mission impossible.

Mama Africa

Rachel loves being on mommy's back, and Granny's crocheted blanket came in very useful when Mommy was getting tied of carring her on the back by herself. It is now a regular thing, every now and then Rachel asks for "Uppiss" but she show Mommy that she means the back, not the front. It freaks Daddy out a bit, because she won't stay still, so we try to avoid the back "uppiss" now. Rachel now also likes to put Barney on her back like Mommy, using a Dish towel, it works pretty well.

At the Church Fete

Fun was had by all at our annual Church fete at the begininig of the month. Mommy had a medical stand where blood pressures and blood sugars were done. Mommy was very busy and so was Rachel. Daddy wasn't very well that day, so it was Mom on her own with Rachel. She really enjoyed herself, loved the music that was being played. But the best part for her was a display of a bath of water with bubbles in it. She kept dragging Mommy to the display saying "Bobbles", the lady there was so sweet and let Rachel put her feet in the water, you can just imagine what it was like to get her out afterwards!

Bath fun with Daddy

Rachel and Dad had great fun the other day, while Bradley was having his bath before going on Night Duty, lots of bubbles were made and he had a very full bath. Rachel enjoyed playing with the bubbles, so Daddy thought it would be a great idea to put them on her head. Soon she did the same. Fun was had by all.

Spending sometime at Home

We spent sometime at Home the other day, just chilling as you can tell by the picture of Mommy and Rachel, Mommy didn't even try and brush her hair. As for the picture of Rachel with the camera bag, well, you can see that she has had enough of mommy taking snap shots all the time. Rachel still has an opsection with Keys and locks, even down to climbing onto things so she can reach the locks. At least she hasn't managed to find the right key for the right lock as yet, even though she doesn't us our keys she has her own set of keys that don't work any were, we hope!

My Latest Haircut

Rachel had her hair cut, again, She was so good sitting on Mommy's lap with a lovely colourful hair cloth over her. She sat perfectly still, on her best behaviour. They layer cut it, but Daddy said that it should have been shorter and Mommy agrees now, as it has alreadly been 2 weeks since the cut and it is getting long again. Rachel loves the cut, not having hair in her eyes all the time.

I have Granny's duster

Rachel found Granny's duster the one day, and she thought that she was in heaven. She started dusting everything she could reach and the things she couldn't she would climb onto a little step that Granny gave her and keep on going. She loved the "brring" sound that the duster makes. Now I don't know where she gets this from it must be Daddy's side of the family, because I don't clean that well to say the least.

Barney Cup cake time!

We made cupcakes, or should I say I made cupcakes for Rachel, This was great fun for both of us, including Evangeline and Evelyn. It all started with me adding the liquid ingredients to the provided white powder from the box, the mixture turned Green, yes I said Green, just like the spots on the Named Dinosaur. I first thought maybe it had expired but no, so brave me I try ed the mixture and it tasted fine, just very Green. So we continued, next it was the icing, and when I say purple icing I mean PURPLE ICING, now not like the mixture the icing tasted Purple, if you can just imagine. Well all was done now, Rachel enjoyed putting the sprinkles of little stars and spots on the cup cakes (yes those too tasted YUCK). Now you ask who ate these colourful cakes. The only ones that would enjoy them, the neighbours kids and Rachel, I think that they should put a warning on the box to say for kid consumption only!

Uncle Brendon came to visit and Rachel got into his Stroop Waffels with avengence. Mommy can't even have them visable without Rachel crying for one. They are so yummy, she calls them Cookies.

This is one of the many things that Rachel loves to do. She will either take her back pack that Granny gave her or her school bag, and put it on and say "Bye.. Bye" and will continue saying "Bye" till you respond and wave "Bye" back. Then she will walk away, only about 1 metre and then that game is done. This time she was still in her babygrow from the night before as well as she decided to take Tigger with her inside her babygrow.

Getting Ready for the Photo

The other day, Mommy and Daddy were getting Rachel ready to have her second class photo from being taken. Her 1st one wasn't the best, to be truthful, it was very sad. So we were given a second chance to have a photo taken at the studio and this time mommy was there to put a smile on Rachel's dial. We hadn't had her hair cut as yet so clips were used, Mommy was surprised that they stayed in so long.

Rachel and Noodles

Rachel loves to eat 2minute noodles, but I've learned to break them up before cooking them because I've found that this long noodles can get quite messy and the noodles get cold before they get eaten. Her favourite meal at the moment is viennas and noodles.

I've Got Chalk !

Rachel got Chalk in the Post from Granny, boy does she love her Chalk, she has used it on her black board and also outside, it is much better then the small chalk. The only problem is that Lucy likes the chalk too. She has already taken one and hit it behind the washing machine. I hope she doesn't eat it and get sick.

Rachel has some wonderful styles, when it comes to clothes as well as hair does. We are trying to have clips in the hair, to help with keeping the hair from the eyes, but No, Rachel always wants to fiddle. Mommy loves the yellow outfit the best, she loves yellow and it looks so good on Rachel (not on Mommy). The purple outfit come from Evangeline's cupboard, that she still can't wear yet, but soon Rachel will have to give it back to her because it hardley fits her now. She is growing so fast!

Having fun in the back yard

Mommy and Daddy were hanging the washing and Rachel was having fun with her watering can that Mom and Dad had bought her earlier that day, it was a lovely hot day outside and it was just a good family time, even Lucy go in on the fun, and got some water spilt on her. Maybe that will help her to grow, even though she is doing well on her own. Rachel loves being outside and playing with ALL her toys, Evelyn also join in on the fun, she also had washing to hang. The only problem was that when Daddy and Mommy were holding Evangeline, Rachel threw a tantrum, sharing is still an issue that needs to be nipped in the bud. Mommy can't even hold Lucy without Rachel wanting "Uppies". But all in all it was a good day.

Fun at the Park

The other day we went to the park down the road, it was great fun Rachel always loves swinging on the swings but today we tried the see-saw, she loved it.. up and down up and down. Mommy was very tied of holding her, her back was almost breaking. Dad enjoyed taking the pictures. When we had to go, Rachel really kicked up a fuss, she really didn't want to go, but she was also tied.

At the Barney Show

Last week the family went to see Barney, AGAIN, this time at the baby expo at the ICC. It was great and so many people at the show. Rachel had great fun dancing in the aisle and made some friends. She took her Barney with her and was very proud waving him about. The show was great and we got to see everyone, BJ and Babybop too. Mommy was very impressed at how the parents were even more exsited then the kids.

Rachel and Mommy were at Home when Daddy phoned to say I've got good news, I've got Rachel a puppy. This is after he had worked Night shift and had gone passed his family home to find 3 stray puppies, choose the fittest of the bunch and brought "Lucy" home. She was full of flies and so weak. This was a Sunday morning and we still all wanted to go to church, still went and left a crying Lucy in Evelyn's capable hands. After church Lucy was given a good wash and scrub with anti-flie shampoo for Dogs. Rachel really enjoyed the whole thing, and everytime Lucy crys she calls "Where Wo Wo". By now Lucy has settled in well, even though Rachel still want to pick her up all the time, but Lucy gives back by nibbling Rachel on her legs. Rachels favourite game is knocking Lucy over while swinging on her swing. The first night was hard on Mommy because Daddy had to still work on night shift. Running after 2 babies at night really exhausted Mommy, it felt as if she worked night shift.

Rachel now insists on eating off the Dinning Room Table, she is still not tall enough so pillows have to be used, she likes to include Russell in her feeding time, Mommy feeds some to Russell then She feeds some to Rachel, works well.

Rachel and Mommy went to their free class at Top Tots, they really enjoyed themselves and found it very different to the Mom's and Babes class as this was at someones house who had converted half of her yard as the venue for Top Tots, with a jungle Gym, chark boards, basins with balls in and even a large trapiline. She had Huts were the classes were held. There was lost of singing and playing and Parachute time, which is Rachels favourite. Mom's camera run out of battery power so that is why so few pictures. Mom and Rachel hope to start lessons soon, but with Mom's shifts being so few which means money so short, it might only be next term.

Visit to Gateway

Mom, Dad and Rachel went to Gateway last Friday after Mommy's Visit to Dr Moore. Rachel really enjoyed her little car as well as the trip to McDonalds, only thing was that Rachel wanted her food and it wasn't coming fast enough. She also enjoyed her ride on the Barney Tractor, it took Mom and Dad a lot of coaxing to get her off. The way it worked was to say Goodbye and then she wanted to come with.

Visit with Aunty Bee

We went to visit Aunty Bee the other day, Rachel loves Aunty Bee and loves spending time with her, grabs her finger to "drag" her when she wants something from her. Rachel took all of Aunty Bees hankechiefs and drapped them all over her bed, Aunty Bee loved spending time with Rachel as well, it brightens up her life. They also were feeding the Hardydars as well. Rachel also says "More" now when she wants something and while we were at Aunty Bees that was Music and Aunty Bees Money box "Vet Gat". We need to have another visit there soon.

Mom is Home at last

Rachel has been without mommy for a couple of days last week, so she is very happy to have her back to herself for the last 5 days in a row. Mommy can't believe that it has been so long since she has updated the blog, but with Rachel around we arn't so surprized. Today has been a better day as far as letting Rachel do her own thing she is really so independent now that Mommy managed to read (go through) the whole Living and Loving, with out any disturbance from Rachel, she loves playing with her dolls and the latest is pushing Russell in the swing, she thinks that if she enjoys swinging so will Russell. Rachel also loves feeding the dolls with a old bottle of hers. She even burbs the baby too. She loves playing outside and Mommy and Daddy will have to invest in a table for Rachel now, since she is now wanting to use the bird table as her table as you can imagine to Daddys disgust. Rachel also went to visit Aunty Bee this last weekend, had great fun with her, as she always does, this time taking all of Aunty Bee's hankys and opening them up and pacing them is stratigic spots on Auntys bed. She also had lots of fun feeding the "Hardy Dares". Rachel has also settled well in Creche, yesterday Daddy dropped her off and she didn't cry, which is quite a thing since the last time she was in creche was almost a week before.

Visiting the Hospital with Aunty Eve

Yesterday we went to the Hospital to take Eveangeline for her Feet appointment, it was a very long wait at Xrays, and Rachel was like a bat out of Hell, running everywhere, moving their chairs all the way through the department. But the staff enjoyed Rachels antics, and it helped pass the time. One of the staff memebers wanted to take Rachel away with her, but she did realize that she wouldn't get any work done that way.
All went off well with the appointment but Eveangline will have to have a op in 2 weeks time, but we'll keep her in our prayers and know that all will work out for the best.

Rachel playing with Granny's Toys

Today, Rachel got into the Toys that Granny had left for her to play with when she misses Granny, and she had a ball of a time. The Dominos were a great hit because they could be spread every where and Mommy had to find the pieces. Thanks Granny! Rachel knows that she has to put them together head to head but still hasn't realized that the pictures should match. She also loves her threading toy, but Mommy had to do most of the threading and even she found it a bit difficult, but Rachel loves to wear it around her neck to the horror of Daddy.

The Olds have Left the Country

Granny and Granpa left today (23/07/08), went to the airport but Rachel stayed at Creche because Mommy didn't think she could handle both Rachel and herself. Went off surprizingly well, Even though Mommy cried when she hugged Granny and said that she couldn't let her go. Mommy also had a job interview on the same day, and thank God that also went off without a hitch. Mommy really misses Granny and Granpa especially when Rachel goes to the flat door and knocks on it and gets no response, but soon, Aunty Eve will be moving in and a new life will begin at 11 Latham Gardens.

Today we had our farewell lunch for Mom and Dad. It went off without a hitch. The food was good the company entertaining. We all feel a bit heavier in body weight and in spirit. Tomorrow is D Day (departure day).
